The 2026 Committee

Hi! I’m Sofya, a second year Experimental Psychology student at St. John’s and President of the Oxford Psychology Society. I’ve loved learning about the brain and behaviour for as long as I can remember, and I’m especially interested in cognitive neuroscience, decision-making, mental health and performance, and applying behavioral insights to business and policy settings. In my free time, I enjoy art, theater, dance, classical singing, and piano. I’m really grateful to work with this brilliant committee, and I can’t wait to welcome you to the PsychSoc community!

Hi! I'm Melissa, a second year EP student at St Hughs, and the Vice-President of Psychsoc this year! I'm really interested in neuroscience and pharmacology, but outside of psychology I love art and music. I'm really excited to be VP this year and helping to organise amazing events for everyone :) 

Hiya! I’m Hira, a second-year Experimental Psychology student at Somerville, and I will be the Secretary this year. I’m particularly interested in cognitive science, neural coding, and perception. Besides academics, I enjoy equestrian, piano, classical music, films, vinyl, and tennis. I’m looking forward to meeting every one of you passionate psychologists in this upcoming year!

Hi! I’m Angela, a second-year student studying Psychology and Linguistics. I’m one of the social media officers this year, and I’m particularly interested in neuroscience. I hope to pursue a career in research and I’m looking forward to meeting more people who share an interest in Psychology!

Hi! My name is Anushka and I am a first year Experimental Psychology student at St. Hugh’s. I am so excited to be one of the social media officers this year! Although I have been loving everything in the course so far, my primary interests are in social psychology, and I hope to become a psychology professor one day 🤗

Hi! I’m Mia, a second year Psychology and Philosophy student at St. Hugh's and one of the social secs! My psychology interests focus on neurodivergence and personality disorders, and the factors contributing to them. I would love to be a therapist or work in rehabilitation in the future. I can’t wait to organise some amazing events this year! :)

Hi I’m Kelly, one of the social secretaries! I’m currently at Worcester studying Psychology and Linguistics, with an interest in developmental and social psychology. I’m excited to be on the psychsoc committee and I hope everyone’s looking forward to what we have in store this year!
